Handmade accessories, community, and care, all woven together in Bradford. Here's how it all fits.
Mimi Joi started as a love of making things by hand, scrunchies and beauty bags in bold, joyful prints, each one made by hand, not mass-produced. But it's grown into something a little bigger than a shop.
Erica, the hands behind Mimi Joi, also leads two peer support sessions at ACAP (the African Caribbean Achievement Project), a Bradford charity that's been supporting the community since 1995. Create Connections and Therapeutic Thursdays bring people together through art, in a safe, welcoming space, and the same spirit runs through ACAP Made, handmade goods crafted by the members of those very groups.
